The Kegel
Exerciser has become the first progressive resistance
trainer approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration
for the treatment of stress urinary incontinence.
Weak muscles
of the pelvic floor, called PC muscles, contribute to urinary
stress incontinence and the Kegel Exerciser teaches women
how to exercise and tone the PC muscles to strengthen them.
"Women
have trouble isolating the proper muscles and as a result,
aren't doing the exercises at all. That's where our product
fits it. It located the PC muscles, teaches women how to do
Kegel exercises properly, and the progressive resistance feature
tones the muscles more effectively," said Harry Orlish,
president of A Personal Solution, Inc., makers of the Kegel
Exerciser.
"The
American Medical Association recommends behavioral treatment
as the first line of defense against incontinence -- before
drugs and surgery. The Kegel Exerciser enables women to follow
this advice and improve their quality of life," Orlish
said.
