MyFloridaPharmacy.com Beats Target $4 Generic Program, Selling More Generic Drugs at $3.79

MyFloridaPharmacy.com today urged seniors not to be fooled by the latest announcement from Target that it was expanding its $4 generic drug program, pointing out that from its licensed pharmacy in Florida, it offers more generics to customers in more states for only $3.79.

While Target said it was expanding its $4 generic program to all of its pharmacies, an asterick on its website noted that "due to state law" its pricing would be higher on some of the drugs in California, Pennsylvania, Colorado, Louisiana, Minnesota, Rhode Island, Montana, Tennessee, Wisconsin and Wyoming. Target also does not have pharmacies in its stores in a number of states.

Target additionally published a list of generics it was offering for $4 that totalled only 306 drugs -- fewer than the hundreds of generics available for $3.79 through MyFloridaPharmacy.com to consumers around the country.

MyFloridaPharmacy.com grabbed the title of low-cost prescription price leader earlier this month by announcing it would beat Wal-Mart by 5 percent, and sell Wal-Mart's $4 generic drugs to people all over the United States for $3.79.

"Seniors not only save money by shopping at MyFloridaPharmacy.com, but they have the peace-of-mind that comes in dealing with a real Florida drugstore, licensed by the Florida Board of Pharmacy, and selling FDA-approved American drugs," said managing director Milton R. Benjamin.

All prescriptions ordered from MyFloridaPharmacy.com are filled and shipped by Prescriptions Plus of Wellington, Florida, which has been licensed as a community pharmacy by the Florida Board of Pharmacy for eight years.

“When you get your drugs from a Florida pharmacy, you don’t have to worry about whom you are dealing with, what you are getting – or whether you will actually get it,” Benjamin added.
